Infant Development Movement Education
Infant Development Movement Education (IDME) is a child-led approach to movement development that offers guidance to caregivers on how best to support their child's easeful movement in the first year+ of life. We offer this education in three ways:
1. four week series for infants to early crawlers
2. weekly drop-in play group
3. workshop for crawlers to early walkers
Option 1:
4 WEEK Infant Development Movement Education series
Newborns to Early Crawlers
Learn ways to support your baby’s movement development through handling skills, toys and environment. We’ll progress over 4 weeks so that your understanding develops in real time alongside your baby’s. This group is an excellent space for families to be in community, for caretakers to bond with their babies, and babies to explore their movement potential. We focus our learning on skills that include arriving (newborn skills), finding midline, rolling, tummy time and belly crawling. If your baby is within this range of movement capability, come join us!
This Series caps at 10 students. Pre registration is required.

Option 3: IDME Crawling to early walking workshop
Helping your baby transition from crawling to walking with ease and integrated strength now, will help them throughout their standing lifetime.
During this workshop, learn ways to support your baby’s movement development through handling skills, toys and environment. You’ll learn to entice their abilities through curiosity and play, as well as ways that can hinder their ability to learn.
This workshop is suitable for babies who are practicing sitting, belly crawling, hands & knees crawling, pulling up to stand and beginning to walk. This is an excellent open play space for families to be part of community, for caretakers to bond with their babies, and for those babies to explore their movement potential.
No prior experience is necessary. Bring your observations and questions!
Registration is required. This workshop caps at 10 students.
