Cali Metres
Cali has been practicing yoga since high school in Brooklyn, where she first discovered the grounding and transformative power of the practice. Over time, yoga became a pathway not only to physical and mental well- being but also to spiritual growth and meaningful community connection. She completed her 200-hour teacher training with Julie Dohrman through Shakti Yoga at Brooklyn Flow, with a strong foundation in alignment-based vinyasa. Cali also completed a 75-hour Advanced Teacher Training with Kula Yoga Project which allowed her to dive deeper into anatomy, hands-on adjustments, and creative and intelligent sequencing. In addition, she completed an 85-hour prenatal teacher training with Lara Kohn Thompson and Beth Donnelly at Brooklyn Flow, deepening her understanding of how to support students through pregnancy with care, strength, and intention. Her teaching blends mindful movement, thoughtful alignment, and breath awareness to help students cultivate strength, clarity, and presence—on and off the mat. She is passionate about creating welcoming, supportive spaces where individuals can explore their own path and connect with others through shared practice.
